I actually feel sick - bought an Amazon gift card on here and accidentally applied it to .com instead of.co.uk. Please help!
I didn't realise until I had already applied it and now I've found that this means I have a balance of $50 on amazon.com but £0 on amazon.co.uk!
I am so upset about this because it took me a very long time to earn that money and now, because I made a silly little mistake, I can't even use it on some books that I've been wanting for years.
I've emailed Amazon support but I know they will take a few days to get back to me, does anyone here have any advice on what I could do about this?

Hi, I didn't realize we could get the Amazon.uk gift card! Because the amazon.com is the one in the Mahalo shop. Have you had the U.K. one before? Once you have the US one, it can't be used in the UK site, which makes me mad as well!! I have to use the U.S site too, as thats where I had my last card, with my Mahalo purchase) But I use mine for Kindle books, so it doesn't really matter) If you are buying ordinary books (not kindle) then you will have to pay a bit more for postage, but at least they will post to the U.K. I live in Croatia, and they won't post a lot of items, so I haven't got much choice what to buy, until we are in the E.U.) Maybe you could try to contact customer service at Amazon, if Mahalo can't change the card, maybe Amazon will. But don't despair, you can use it on the US site, and just pay a wee bit extra postage. Let me know what happens, as I am interested to know, if we can get a UK card. Just send me a direct Q., that is, when they get it fixed) as Direct is not working yet):))

Grrrr! I was so upset last night when I realised what I'd done, but I got in touch with Amazon and although there was nothing they could actually do about my mistake, they gave me a very good response and quickly as well so I was pleased with that.
In the end I bought two books and with the cost and the postage I have $15 left on the card, which isn't bad at all considering the daft mistake I made! :/
I can't wait til Mahalo get the direct question situation sorted out again.
