I prefer going forward 100 years in the future, because we know what happened before 100 years, and we can read about them through the internet or books.
But the future is unpredictable. We don't know how the world will look like after 100 years. So I prefer travelling 100 years forward. :)

From the 31st of July 1909, I could look forward to an extraordinary life, easily able to witness most of the twentieth century, one of the greatest time periods in the history of mankind. Not only could I witness some of the greatest, titanic struggles between good and evil that where ever fought, but I could be an active participant in them as well.
So as a simple answer: I would join either the French Foreign Legion or the Dutch KNIL, and try to survive two World Wars, fighting as a grunt in the first and a division level officer in the second; and as far as what I would seek in all of this: adventure mostly, getting to see extraordinary things I can only dream about as of now.

Would you rather go back in time 100 years, or forward in time 100 years?
Why?
What would you do? What would you seek?

Given the choice between a journey one hundred years into the past and one hundred years into the future, I would choose one hundred years into the past. Why? From the 31st of July 1909, I could look forward to an extraordinary life, easily able to witness most of the twentieth century, one of the greatest time periods in the history of mankind. Not only could I witness some of the greatest, titanic struggles between good and evil that where ever fought, but I could be an active participant in them as well.
