Who's the most eccentric and interesting person you've met?
It's always fun to share life stories of interesting people. What kind of folks have you met?
One of the most interesting people I've been acquainted with, was a race-car driver. He also was attempting to train carrier pigeons, bred attack-dobermans, built cars from scratch, cared for a grape vineyard, and had a pet African Grey.
The African Grey parrot was very well trained and would answer his questions. Unfortuntely when the parrot misbehaved, it would mimmick the electronic ring on the telephone. Or sometimes it would mimmick his owner's voice, singing operattas. This created some chaos in the family... but it was colorful, and they seemed to have fun with it.

I work in customer service, have worked at a Dr. Office, and often take the bus, so I run into a *lot* of characters in my line of work. Also, I have some very charasmatic and artsy friends, and when I go to their parties, I meet the most fascinating individuals.
To narrow it down though...hm...
I think my friend who decided to live his dream and become a brewmeister. Very eccentric, libertarian to the extreme, quotes monty python at length, brews some pretty fantastic beer, has traveled to South America several times.
