I have a 1989-90 16-month calendar. Do you know its value?

Its value is only what someone is willing to pay for it. It's like art, as you can have a fine piece of art, yet it is only worth what someone is willing to buy it for. It's nice knowing what values collectors can put on calendars, and other collectibles, yet if there is no one who will buy it, then it might as well be considered worthless until it is purchased. However, you should hold onto it, as it might have some value, depending on the condition it is in, and the calendar. My guess is that it is valued at anywhere between $10 and $20, as a 1979 Star Trek calendar is worth $20 and it should not be valued at more than this one.

Unlike Star Trek, however, this calendar and the year before are the ONLY items ever licensed by Bill Watterson. Everything else is simply bootleg.

There is one on eBay in mint condition with a buy-it-now price of $14.95, so I think that is a pretty close representation of its value.

Older calendars work exactly the same with certain future years. You can use the "Repeating Calendar" tool to find out which future year(s) your old calendar will be compatible with.
You'd only make around $15 selling it on eBay, unless your calendar is of particular significance, but you could save the money you'd spend on a calendar in the future and just keep it until then.
A 1989 calendar will work again in 2017, and a 1990 calendar will work again in 2018, so that works out perfectly if you can hang onto it for another eight years. Plus, you'll probably be the only person around using a 1989-90 calendar at that point, which will provide a conversation topic.
