If this counts, my present one is the theme from Sanford & Son. Same ringtone as a couple of my friends. So when we hear it it becomes one of those moments where we're all checking out phones to see who's phone it is when we hang out.

Yes, constantly in stores and medical offices.
When the ringtone "talks in a human voice" and I turn around to see if someone is talking to me. I check to see if they want or need some help, or to ask a simple question.
During the past few years, I've developed the habit of ignoring people who seem to be talking to me, because of this.
My awkard moment was, unfortunately, someone was REALLY talking to me once at the cash register. They said "Lady, excuse me, did you drop your credit card?"
Yes, I did, when putting it in my purse, it turned upside down and dropped by the cash register. Phew! Good thing I happened to listen to a human that time, instead of mistakenly thinking it was just a "talking ringtone" again!
So it is a difficult choice to make:
1. to ignore "talking ring tones and voices from cell phones" and drop something and not be told about it
2. or to spend WaaaaaaaaaayYYyyyyyyyY too much time listening to cell phones and people "talk to themselves" or to someone who is not even in the room
My wish:
to ban cell phones in stores and medical offices. There is usually too much noise in a store, anyway to talk, or to hear someone on the other end of the cell phone. The last thing sick people want to listen to is more noise.
People can go outside to talk.
On another note, I don't own a cell phone.
I like my quite and privacy and don't need to be able to be contacted 24 / 7.
Here's some great annoying ringtone resources for those who NEED them!

And on another note, that is a very funny Weird Al video. Great artwork! Thanks for posting it for all of us to see!
The sound below in the video is very piercing, to some ears.
Warning........ contain your pet ............. They may not like it either!

There are lots of other situations where someone else's phone rings and you just wish they would have a normal ring tone, or a decent song. I am really glad that we have music ring-tones though, thanks to Ralph Simon.

Have you ever been in an "awkward" ring-tone moment?
Weird Al's "Ringtone" video makes me wonder what obnoxious ringtone inspired the song.

A couple times. My ringtone previously was "White & Nerdy" and my phone went off a couple times riding the bus to work, that was a bit awkward. If this counts, my present one is the theme from Sanford & Son. Same ringtone as a couple of my friends. So when we hear it it becomes one of those moments where we're all checking out phones to see who's phone it is when we hang out.

Last Sunday during church service just as the prayer started...then my phone (on outdoor setting) rings "Dontcha Wish Ur Girlfriend was Hot Like Me" and I couldn't get to it fast enough. How embarrassing.

I have a horrible one. I was once presenting something with a group. It wasn't quite a religious setting, but it was in a room where phones are generally meant to be off. I didn't have a chance to turn mine off because I was already late for this thing. Sure enough, when it is my part of the presentation, my "White and Nerdy" tone goes off. I felt like smacking myself. There are lots of other situations where someone else's phone rings and you just wish they would have a normal ring tone, or a decent song. I am really glad that we have music ring-tones though, thanks to Ralph Simon.
