How do I plan a wedding and reception?

Tip for best answer: M$1.05
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi,
Wow! This is a question with a lot of answers. First off, you need to decide if you want to hire a wedding planner or is you want to take care of all the details yourself. If you choose to hire a wedding planner, she can help you navigate many of the details you will need to plan your wedding and reception.

If you choose to plan the wedding and reception on your own, make sure you have a clear idea of what you want your wedding to be like. Make sure you book where you are going to have your wedding and reception way in advance to ensure you will have the location of your dreams.

There are so many websites that can help you plan your wedding step by step. Since there are so many different avenues and choices you can make for your wedding and reception I am going to give some sites listed below that will help you plan:

Good luck! The best advice I can give to you is decide what YOU want and stick to it. You will be bombarded with family and friends advice and feelings, be polite, but stick to your guns. After all this is YOUR wedding, not theirs.

Planning a wedding is one of the most intricate and huge work to do. Depending on how small or big the wedding is, planning is usually fun and exciting to do at the same time.

The first thing you have to do is to list down all the details of the wedding plan. You can start from the smallest to the biggest detail, the bridal grown or entourage dresses, the wedding rings, number guests and the reception venue. These things should be considered especially when you are on a tight budget. When you have the list, you can start taking out those not so important things from the to do list for you to cut some of your budget. In this way, you are sure that you covered everything you want for your big day.

I would suggest that you should or at least do some of the planning yourself, rather than just leaving it all up to the wedding coordinator or planner. This way, you can monitor what's happening during the planning stage.
