"How's Your News?" Has MTV really gone too far this time?
Has MTV really gone too far this time? Is this just exploitation of disabled people, or is this instead a chance for persons with disabilities to show that they have something to offer television?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

who say...
"In the 10 years since we were introduced to the How's Your News?' crew, their unique perspective has made us smile even in our darkest and most troubled times," said Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Executive Producers. "We think How's Your News?' can do for the country what it has done for us."
If you ever watch South Park, not only is it one of the most crude shows out there, its honest and it gets everything right, it is possibly the best program ever to air on television, says I. I will reserve judgment on "How's your News" for now because I have yet to see it, however I think watching the reactions of people will make for much more to laugh at then laughing at people with disabilities. Either way...the envelope has been pushed

M$After watching the promo video, it looks to me that it might be presented in a more "reality tv show" way. Focusing on the experiences of the newscasters and what goes on behind the camera. If they can stick to the stories of each person and not focus on the disabilities as major story elements, then this does have potential.
Sadly, if they do go this route, I don't think MTV is the right channel to host the show. It would probably be more at home on a channel like TLC where emotionally charged reality TV is expected.
All in all, I think this might turn out to be pretty good. It will all come down to how the show is presented.
I watch a lot of TV.
