about Nativity Scenes
How would you do and present a Nativity Scene using real people?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I definitely wouldn't attempt to have the players stand still as statues ... that would pretty much defeat the purpose of using people! I'd try to make it more of a naturalistic, freestyle play which involved the characters interacting with the people who come to take a closer look ... perhaps you could begin for a more formal, scripted presentation of the scene from a historical perspective, then invite the audience "in" in some way.
Where will this take place? Is it part of an event? How long will the people need to occupy their characters?

Thanks for your reply, it would last from 3 to 4 hours, in front of a Church.
Great suggestion, thanks.
Another idea ... how about inviting people who attend to actually bring gifts? Maybe items that would be donated to a local homeless shelter or children's charity?
Mainly, I'm just trying to figure ways for people to engage with the scene in a way that is interesting, and create happy memories of the day.
Another way to approach it would be to take the first or final 15 min-1/2 hour and stage the scene as a play ... this would require the characters to commit to learning some lines and doing at least one rehearsal, but it could be really nice.
Might also be nice to include a musical performance ... not necessarily with the characters having to perform, but with choir members and audience participation.
