How will the Wolfram computational search engine save Google?

http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/05/how-the-wolfram-alpha-search-engine-could-save-google/

What are structured data sets and why does this improve the search engine?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

As of today Wolfram-Alpha is mostly hype and though it might prove competition to Google in the future it isn't more than an academic curiosity at this point. It reminds me so much of the launch of Cuil, megahype, unremarkabale performance. Google will continue to innovate and perhaps Wolfram-Alpha type technology will make it into Google in the future.
