How we can earn points and convert them into Money through Mahalo Answers?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
M$4 Answers
Long answer --------
In regards to points:
You earn 2 points for answering a question (4 if you answer w/i one hour of it being posted),
You earn 2 points for every M$1 you earn, and
You earn 10 points for being selected as the best answer.
I'll make some assumptions about you question to give you a good answer.
Let's say that you only choose to answer questions in which M$1 is being offered and the asker is selecting ALL of your answers as being best.
On day one (you are a white belt w/ 50 pnts) you earn 100 points for being selected as the best answerer for all 10 questions (10 points x 10 answers) + 20 for answering questions (40 if you answer w/i one hour) + 20 for being tipped M$10:
pnts: 190 (yellow belt)
M$: 10 (US$7.50)
You do the same on Day 2. This is what you have:
pnts: 330 (green belt)
M$: 20 (US$15)
After day 3:
pnts: 470 (green belt)
M$: 30 (US$22.50)
And day 4:
pnts: 610 (green belt)
M$: 40 (US$30.00)
On day 4 you can now cash out your M$'s for $30 credit on PayPal!
Keep in mind that this assumes that ALL of your 10 questions are selected as the best answer.
Short answer ------
You are only paid when you answer a question in which a tip is being offered and you are selected as the best answer. I suggest you answer as many questions you are allowed to each day, as there are caps on what you may do depending on your level. This way you get a feel for the site and its community and once you are leveled up, start answering questions that have tips being offered and you know quite a bit about (or are willing to do the research on)!

Hope this helps! Good luck out there!
*Remember there is a free 2 points when you select this answer as the best answer. ;)
