Next Question
There are some issues being worked, such as how best to rank questions in Mahalo Answers, but using the sight is pretty easy in my opinion.
The Mahalo.com page offers information on a variety of topics managed by Mahalo users, similar to Wikipedia.
Just type in a topic in the box at the top or click a link from the front page and you will see either a page on that information, or a wizard for adding information to the system (if you are a registered user)
And for Mahalo Answers allows you to ask and answer questions on pretty much anything you want.
You click "Ask a Question" when you want to ask a question and click the "Answer this Question" button on questions you think you know the answer to.

You are also invited to answer questions. If your answer is the best, you get 10 points and the tip offered by the asker.
If you have any other questions, you can ask a private or public question or just contact the Mahalo Team.
Regarding Mahalo as a search engine, you just type your query in the box and a Mahalo page will show up with all the information you need to continue your search.

Also, it was only released recently and all new applications need time to have the bugs ironed out.

This answer is very thorough and informative. The greatest part is the sense of community on Mahalo. Thank you!

I think the site grew organically and there's simply no 'Help' section or instructions. I still don't know how to add references inside a text box, the little Hand icon doesn't do anything I can see. Also, it was only released recently and all new applications need time to have the bugs ironed out.

I'm a new user and find the Mahalo site fairly easy to use to be honest, have you tried the Mahalo-faq section?

What FAQ? If you mean the one you manage, it's not linked to from the main page, a user would have to Search for an FAQ, which isn't the most user friendly choice.

Thanks Tim. Yes I know this page isn't linked to from anywhere at the moment.
I was going to tidy the page up and then submit it as a request to Mahalo. Haven't had the time yet as i've been so busy trying to get to Purple belt, you know how time consuming Mahalo can be!

Yeah, if you plan to be on here you need a PhD in computer science. Alright, it's not that hard. You just have to be knowledgeable and keep looking for info to help you. I have trouble with some stuff like making pages here on Mahalo, and other things you can do on here!
