You can make it from h-shish too, which makes for a better brownie, but your question reminds me of a story, and I offer it as a tale about being careful with the baked goods.

My sis had made a pan, and had left it on the counter to cool, when my mom dropped in for a visit, and mom's a cumpulsive snacker who knew nothing about my sister's hobby.

Sis was in the bathroom doing something, and mom went, "Oooh, brownies!", and helped herself.

Did I tell you mom's a fully compliant WordOfWisom LDS, who wouldn't have known about stuff like that if she's slipped on a big pile of it in the middle of a sidewalk?

Sis comes out of the bathroom and freezes to see mom muching away, and flusters out something along the lines of "OhImSavingTheseForAFriendsWeddingShower" as she hastily wraps it and packs it into thre freezer, tucking aside a fair piece for herself.

Well.. for the next week mom couldn't stop calling people or mentioning to everyone she knew about how she *couldn't* *believe* what a *good* *visit* she'd had with my sister!

To this day nobody's ever told mom what that was about.
