I do not consider myself a great writer, but nor do I consider myself among the worst, and the only advice I can give here, is to read books, because by reading books, your mind, whether you realize it or not, will pick up such things as grammer, sentence structure, etc, without all the complexity of having to take an English course and learn about nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, etc, which totally bore me, and take out all the fun of writing, which comes from my passions, desires, and dreams, throw in all the english rules, and forget it, I'll lose interest very quickly. Reading books is the best tutor for someone wanting to write better, because your reading books written by actual professionals in the field of writing! I hope this helps, and again this is only my opinoin, so don't yell "crucify"
