The chests in the game God of War are different on some terms. Generally speaking, these chests serve as bonuses and upgrades for the player making the playable character more powerful as he progresses throughout the game. Most of these chests contain orbs marked with three colors namely red, green, and blue for experience, health, and magic replenishment respectively. Some of these chests also contain the Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers which give health and magic upgrades respectively for every six item collected.
All of these chests are tightly locked but with the character’s god-like strength, he can still force them open with the player continuously tapping the indicated button in the screen. Chests containing orbs can be easily found in all locations however, chests with the health and magic upgrade are quite limited with some even hidden in various levels calling the need for search and exploration.
