Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Storing quilts without causing creases is very important for maintaining the beauty of the quilt and the quality of the fabric. Follow these tips—
• Fold the quilt in thirds in both directions or use a random width and fold it.
• Roll it on a cardboard tube covered in acid free tissue paper.
• You can lay the quilts out flat on a spare bed.

I never had any luck storing quilts and avoid creases but I can offer the following tips. I always store my quilts in vacuum compressed storage bags which you can purchase at many home stores such as Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Since quilts are so large and bulky, vacuum storage bags makes it easy to store anywhere. When I open them up for the Fall again every year, I simply hang up for 2 to 3 hours over a clothesline, and "presto!", no wrinkles. Not sure if it is the bags or the way I fold that contributes to more in getting rid of the creases but it works for me. No Ironing!
