What's the best way to store a live lobster until you're ready to cook it?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My grandmother stores live lobsters by wrapping them in a paper bag covered with seaweed and puts them in the refrigerator ,which stays good for about a day or so (approx 48 hrs) . Another alternative is that it can be stored in an open container covered with seaweed .
you should make sure that the containers are not closed and suppose seaweed is not available then a towel soaked with seawater can be used .
you should make sure it is not put in fresh water as it will expire quickly.
