It really depends on the type of zombie, a "Living dead zombie" will have discolored skin, decaying flesh and a horrible odor.
A man made zombie could in theory look just like a regular human (This includes zombies made by drugs, viruses, experiments ect..)
The best way to spot a zombie is to observe their movements, if they seem out of place the next step is to engage them in conversation as this will surely give any zombie away because most cant speak.
In the end your best bet is to load up a shotgun and just buck everyone, ITS A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE! weather the person you kill is a zombie or not you can bet that at some point they would get infected.
