Did you upgrade or did you do a separate install? If you upgraded, then 2000 should be completely gone. The upgrade process involves replacing the Windows 2000 system files. In fact, unless something very strange happened, I would say that you don't need to do anything at all.
if you performed a separate installation then things are a little more complicated.
If you have two installations on your computer then you will be asked to choose which operating system you want to boot to at startup. The default would be XP as it is the latest installation. Boot into XP.
Once you are in XP
1. Back up all of your important files, including those on your W2000 partition.
2. Transfer any documents, pictures, and other files that you don't want to lose onto the XP partition.
3. Format the Windows 2000 partition. NOTE: ONCE THIS IS DONE THERE IS NO GOING BACK!!!
Next time you restart your computer it should go straight into XP - Windows 2000 will be gone.
