M$I can interpret your question in a couple of ways:
1. How to print labels on CD or DVD.
2. I want to print some photos on disc.
For Labels, the previous Answer does cover that. There's also an instructional video on eHow. See source link.
In this video, he does reference a message from his Label software that cautions about using paper labels.
Paper labels are known to come off/abrade/peel and can damage your burner.
That's why I chose a Casio CW-100 Title Printer to print directly on the CD/DVD itself. There's a link to it in Sources.
I've used it for a few years and am very happy with it.
The other option is LightScribe which requires a compatible drive and media. Some complain about its speed - it does a high quality job.
Most CD/DVD software, today, will write to LightScribe as well as the aforementioned labels.
Re: #2. Do you mean you want to put a picture/image on the media or, do you mean you are storing the image file?
Both the Casio and Lightscribe will print an image on the disc surface.
