A very simple Walnut Spice Cookies recipe at ifood.tv. A very great tasting dessert after a hearty meal.

Ingredients
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice seasoning
1 egg white, room temperature
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Directions:

Mix sugar and seasoning.
Beat egg white on high for 1 minute.
Gradually add sugar mixture.
Beat until stiff.
Fold in walnuts.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 250 degrees.

Here is the basic recipe for the cookies which I learn t from the web source.

Ingredients :
----------------
2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
3 tbl vegetable oil
2 tbl molasses
3 lrg egg whites
3/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
cooking spray

How to cook :

1. Preheat oven to 350 .
2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
Combine flour and next 4 ingredients (flour through salt) in a medium bowl.
Combine the brown sugar, oil, molasses, and egg whites in a large bowl, stirring well with a whisk.
Add flour mixture; stir until well blended.
Stir in walnuts.Drop by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Cool 3 minutes on pans.
Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.

for variations my mother mixes aromatic spices – ginger, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon,along with the batter instead of pumpkin pie spices.
For a festive treat she makes frosting of maple syrup,butter,powdered sugar and fat-free milk.And pours them on the cookies.
