how to make bulletproof paper?

http://discovermagazine.com/2009/jan/083 found this article.. and several others on the issue... though i cant find the enzymes used to break down cellulose, or actually useful info on the process. VERY hopeful of it's use in diy projects. any thoughts?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Pack together many pieces of paper well. Use a dictionary or yellow pages book possibly. You might want to try this (as seen on video):

There is bulletproof ice: Building Pykrete:

Check out http://www.metacafe.com and http://www.instructables.com for more help, if any.

I couldnt find the article. If you can reply and show me a lin to the article I may be able to further answer the question!:)

Thanks!

Hope this helps!

The question shouldn't be how to make a sheet of paper bulletproof - the real question is how many sheets does it take to stop a bullet.

If you've ever seen a bullet fired at a phone book, then you'll know that any stack of paper, sufficiently thick, is bulletproof.

Interesting. A couple of DIY uses come to mind:
1. Holding things together.
2. DIY bullet-proof vest
3. Gag paper that can't be cut
4. Extremely strong electronics made by surrounding the main boards in this paper.
Another way to make extremely strong, thin, flexible sheets would be by cutting aerogel(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerogel) or by combining carbon nanotubes.
