How to make a Japanese pink ginger sauce?

I eat at a Japanese restaurant on a regular basis. When I order the hibachi chicken, it's served with rice, vegetables and a white or pink ginger sauce. For along time, I didn't know what it was called. The waitress today called it ginger sauce. It is more like a white to me, but someone else called it pink.

I have never eaten at a Japanese restaurant but the dish you described sounds excellent and not all that much different than Chinese food I have eaten. I like ginger glaze on Chinese food, so this intrigued me. I wondered if it was similar to the Japanese pink ginger sauce you are asking about. I found a good recipe for this ginger sauce at Food.com. It looks quite simple an can be prepared in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients:
1 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise (any other brand of mayonnaise would also work)
3 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon water
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
salt

Start with the one cup of mayonnaise and whisk in the ingredients in order they are listed in the recipe. Then add salt and adjust any seasonings. If the sauce is done correctly you shouldn't be able to taste any one specific ingredient.

Hi @cosmopinkice, I was invited to an engagement party at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant and this white or pink ginger sauce was served with the shrimps and chicken. This is how to prepare it.

*Japanese pink ginger sauce

3 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
2 tablespoons celery, minced
1/4 cup onion, minced
1/2 cup peanut oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons ketchup
4 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt

Direction:

*Combine all ingredients in a blender or bowl and blend for about 35 seconds on high speed. Blend until all the ginger is well blended with the other ingredients.

*Pour out the mixture into a bowl and serve.

NB: If you want it warm, you can heat it up in the microwave for few seconds before serving.

I rarely eat at Japanese food but one of my favorite is sushii, this is a raw fish with special sauce and it is delicious!. It is also the favorite of my father and brother and I learned to like this dish because of them.
I haven't tried yet the Japanese Ginger Sauce but I have plenty of recipes online that uses this sauce as a dip or part of the ingredient. I always like food with ginger so I think this sauce could make one recipe tastes great. This is an easy sauce to prepare and I think I am going to try this one at home.

This is the recipe that I found online on Japanese Ginger Dipping Sauce:

You will need: 1/3 c soy sauce
1/3 [[cup sake[[ (Japanese wine)
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tsp. grated garlic

To Prepare:
Get a sauce pan and mix all the ingredients. Let it boil on medium heat and let it cool.
