How to look for a niche business opportunity?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'm not a business student or an entrepreneur so please take that into consideration when reading this advice. I believe one of the best ways to look for niche business opportunities is to go about your life and be critical about everything.
For instance, maybe you have a passion on chess and boxing (apparently popular in some parts of Europe). Chances are, you aren't the only one who is interested in something like that. You go on to google to look for places that might do chess and boxing together as a sport but you are disappointed that you can't find something local (if at all). There's a niche business opportunity.
Or suppose you are trying to staple things to the wall and realize that your stapler should tell you if what you're stapling is balanced or not. You look for a product that meets your needs and find out that there is none. There's a niche business opportunity.
Just be critical to everything. Instead of wondering whether there's a better way when encountering a problem, think about the solution and see if something like that exists. If not, you have an opportunity.
