How to install flooring?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The right tools for the job will make the job go easier. Make sure you pick up a power saw to cut whatever type of flooring you plan to install.

I'll leave the name brand out, but be sure to pick up something similar to the saw below versus getting a "table saw." It will keep the cuts clean, and the job moving quickly.
- Sliding Compound Mitre Saw with Laser

There are many types of flooring such as Wood Flooring, vinyl flooring etc. here are easy steps on how you can install vinyl flooring:

Take the old floors off before you begin.Remove the tack strips if its the case of carpets. Level the floors using the floor scraper if the floor is made of wood. On the other hand, concrete floors must be scrubbed prior to installing vinyl flooring. This is mainly to clean the dirt. Once you finish cleaning the floors, then measure the entire area which is to be covered. Also make the floor free from everything and then start laying down the vinyl flooring. When cutting the edges, make sure to add some extra inches at the end for a nicer fit in the end. Once done, then start putting the adhesive. Choose the spot to put and then little by little put the glue between the floor and vinyl. Put the appropriate amount of adhesive so that it sticks out nicely. Once the floor is covered entirely get the roller and start leveling the vinyl. Give some time to dry off and then you can bring back the things in place.

Happy to help you.
