How to Fix svchost.exe using 100% CPU / Memory Leak ?

Tip for best answer: M$0.11
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

What Windows do you have? If you have XP then I could recommend to download the following crucial hotfixes: for Windows XP SP1 - KB921883 and KB923414; for Windows XP SP2 - KB923414, KB924270, KB958644 and KB970238; for Windows XP SP3 - KB958644 and KB970238.

There is also a good utility that shows all processes loaded inside svchost.exe http://www.neuber.com/free/svchost-analyzer/index.html
