You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have to agree with glenharper. Tea tree oil and cider vinegar are indeed good remedies against athlete's foot, not to mention that they are safe to use since they are all-natural. You can also use Pau d' arco tea as a topical remedy for your athlete's foot. Here's how you can do it: Prepare a strong Pau d' arco tea by using 6 tea bags to 2 quarts of warm water. Soak your feet in the solution for 15 mins, three times daily for quick results. You can also purchase an over the counter remedy if you cannot concoct your own foot soak. A good option to go for is fungusil since it is in liquid form, making it easier to apply, and it is also effective in getting rid of the source of athlete's foot.

You might want to try using herbal remedies. I believe tea tree oil and cider vinegar helps. For the latter option, you can heat the vinegar until its lukewarm, place it in a basin, and soak your feet in the solution for a good half an hour or so everyday. You can also cut raw garlic into tiny pieces wrap them in gauze and wear it inside your shoes for a few days. I know it's definitely a weird idea because of the smell, but the garlic will be absorbed by your skin and will eventually kill the microbes causing the athlete's foot. Another you option you can try is a topical cream called ZeroFungus. My friend tried it and it worked for him. I hope these will help you.

Athlete's foot is a very common skin infection of the foot caused by fungus. When i referred MedicineNet.com they have listed the remedies. The info given here are general. Please ask your health-care professional or pharmacist for a recommendation.

---quote----
A homemade remedy of dilute white vinegar soaks using one part vinegar and roughly four parts water, once or twice a day as 10-minute foot soaks may aid in treatment.

The second part of treatment is the use of antifungal creams and washes. Many medications are available, including miconazole, clotrimazole, terbinafine (Lamisil) sprays and creams, and ketoconazole shampoo and cream, etc.

Treatment for athlete's foot should generally be continued for four weeks, or at least one week after all of the skin symptoms have cleared.
