How to clean Address Bar history in Firefox 3?, tested with CCleaner don't works

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Go to Tools->Options then the Privacy Tab. Change the "Keep my history for X Days" setting to 0. Clear your Private Data below while making sure your browsing history is checked in the Settings dialog box. Now, here is the kicker the only thing that will show up in the drop down are bookmarks. If you don't want anything to show up. Remove your bookmarks.

Open firefox. Click on "tools" at the top. Choose "clear private data". A window opens with choices, including "browsing history".

When you go back to the address bar after doing this, do the urls that show up automatically have a yellow star beside them, to the far right? If so, those are bookmarks. Bookmarks now show up in the address bar of the newer FireFox just like the history does.

This Firefox plugin disables bookmarks showing there.
