How to attract more experts to answer the questions?

I asked a question about my phone but no one has answered it yet. However,at the same time, my same quesiton is already answered by people in a forum that I found. So I am curious how could mahalo answers attract more experts to answer people's questions.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

1. Put the full name of the device. I had to google E71x to find out that it was a Nokia cell phone.

2. A tech forum from the manufacturer is definitely the fastest way to find tech information. Especially if they sub-divide the forums by model. You've got a 100% common trait in those forums.

At any other community (like here), you will not have 100% common connection with the community. You may not even have 50% who have the same carrier. Of those, 25% with the same brand. Of those, less than 10% with the same model.

Taking those completely made-up numbers, that's 1.25% of people who would even have the phone. Not many of them would have the correct key-sequence codes to perform a wipe.

Sorry you didn't get a timely response. It's probably mostly about the numbers.

I think as Mahalo continues to grow in popularity, it will get more and more experts in all fields. Right now Mahalo is good for general answers that most people can look up by researching.

When it comes to technical questions such as fixing a computer problem, or a phone question like you mentioned, there will always be other forums which focus on those topics and therefore will be a better resource.
