I know it may sound odd, but aerodynamics is actually quite important for the design of many structures. Many structures, such as bridges and skyscrapers are large, and are exposed to large wind forces. Civil engineers use aerodynamic principles to reduce or divert these forces to reduce the strain on the building itself.
