He actually got ejected from two straight games. Why he can't keep a lid on his temper, I don't know. But that's just Artest being Artest (remember this is the same dude who punched a spectator in the stands because Artest thought the guy threw a beer on him--turns out it was just a bystander...oops).
In the first game, Artest thought Kobe fouled him, and Artest went chasing after him and got in Kobe's face, and then mouthed off to the ref. That's how he got his technical and an ejection.
In the second game, Artest fouled Pau Gasol and knocked him to the ground. The refs reviewed the foul on the monitors for a couple of minutes, and then ejected him.
Once he starts keeping his temper in check, and doesn't throw any technical fouls against other players (or, you know, assaulting people in the stands), he'll be an even better player.
