How similar is Window 7 to Mac OS X?
Are there any similarities between Microsoft Windows 7 and Mac OS X? Where can I locate a comparison of Windows 7 and Mac OS X?

Hi @tjaldrum, Windows 7 is the latest offering from the stable of Microsoft, whose operating systems run almost 90% of the world’s computers. Apple considers the Mac OS X as the ‘world’s most advanced operation system. OS X is a UNIX based operating system that come pre installed with all Macintosh computer systems.
The current version is know as the Snow Leopard and a new version ‘Lion’ is all set for launch in the second half of 2011. Both the operating systems have their pros and cons. If you don't want to wait impatiently for your laptop to boot up then Mac OS X is the one for you, it consistently beats Windows 7 in parameters such as boot time, resume from sleep, shutdown time and multimedia multitasking. Let’s compare a few features of OS X and Windows 7.
When we look at Mac Finder vs. Windows Explorer their file management system is pretty much similar.
While comparing Leopard’s quick look with windows file preview, we notice that windows file preview doesn’t support the amount of filetypes quick look does. The Windows 7 system tray is a clear winner when compared to Mac Menu Bar as you cannot hide icons on the mac menu like u can do on the system tray and the programs put their icons without asking for explicit permission which can be annoying sometimes.
