How safe is Bittorrent, IsoHunt and other torrent sites?

Depends mainly on what do you intend to download. As matblack says, read the comments on the torrents and prefer known contributors. I personally use it to watch tv shows not available in my country and that's generally safe. The few times i used it to try commercial software, it always comes with a nasty virus or Trojan. The worst thing is that the antivirus only detects it months after the program was installed.

I use bit torrents all the time but I do try and only get ones form people I have got one from before and I always read the feed back left on the torren before downloading.
