How popular is BaGuaZhang becoming in the US?
Is BaGuaZhang gaining interest in the US?

I know that Bruce Frantzis is teaching it on a limited basis and a number of his followers are as well. He is a very advanced teacher, but the primary focus of his program is teach the fundamentals of his 12-step program for moving energy, using various qigong and nei gung practices. I have been fortunate to obtain some training from him and one of his student-practicioners.
Bruce has an international schedule, and teaches across the US - in Boston, California, New York, and Washington, D.C. He is holding a Ba Gua Instructors Training this July in California.

George Xu, also from the Bay Area, taught Ba Gua on Feb. 21 of this year at Golden Gate Park. He teaches internationally and in other locations including Oregon and Colorado.

Dr. Yang, Jwing Ming has three videos for Bagua, but it is not apparent whether he is actively teaching that at the moment. It is not a part of his current schedule on the web. He is from Newton, MA.

It is my personal feeling that, because of the complexity of the movements, bagua will never be as popular as tai chi chuan or qigong. But I do believe that it is gaining in interest, as the individual awareness and ability increases in the U.S. I do know that, based on my limited experience with Energy Arts programs, that there are centers of practice in California, Oregon, Washington (there is another teacher from China there whose name I cannot remember right now, north of Seattle), Boston, and Colorado.
