Most service companies recommend that furnace filters and air conditioner filters be replace every month. Walmart's replacement filters range in price from about $4.50 and up. The price will depend on the type of filter you want to use (advanced allergen filters, micro particle-reduction filters, dust reduction filters etc) and on the quantity. Sometimes a multi-pack is a better bargain.
