How often should I get my hair cut to keep it healthy?

I want to keep my hair as healthy as possible. How often should I get my hair cut? How much should I get cut off each time? I am trying to grow my hair out at the same time. Does getting our hair cut often help with hair growth?

Health experts advise having a regular haircut every month to three months. To keep it healthy, shiny, and let it grow longer in a shorter period of time, you need to visit your salon within this duration. There are plenty of hair care products that are available in the market. You can seek the advice of your hairstylist first before buying anything. The kind of hair that you have determines what kind of style suits you. It is not only the regular haircut that will make your hair healthy.

Good grooming and hygiene also contribute. When you use shampoo and conditioner for the kind of hair that you have, your hair will also be healthy. Taking a shower daily and making your hair wet is also part of hygiene for your hair.

You should get your hair cut every six to twelve weeks to keep it healthy. Using deep conditioning products will help treat split ends. Regularly cutting them off will improve the look and feel of your hair. If you are trying to grow your hair out, you should get half an inch cut off each time. This may seem like a lot. By cutting off half an inch of hair each time, you can be assured of getting rid of all the split ends.

Getting your hair cut every six to twelve weeks does help with hair growth. This may seem counterintuitive. Hair that is splitting is more prone to tangling and breaking. By getting it cut, you get rid of the damaged ends, helping each shaft to grow longer. Even if you don’t use heat styling products on your hair, it will still eventually split from age.

If you go in every 3 months or so and just get a 1/2" taken off - the faster it will seem your hair is growing out - and the healthier your hair will be!
