The volcano at the Mirage erupts nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., every hour. Keep in mind that the schedule will change if the volcano is under service or when there is bad weather especially high winds. Yes, there will be a traffic jam infront of the volcano during the event, not bad but enough to be annoying if you are going to be late for diner or a show. Does it look real? In my opinion no, it lacks all the dynamics of vulcan rock and magma but I can say that it is one of the classic sidewalk shows on the strip. Make sure you get a front row seat and get there a little early because especially in early fall and spring it gets crowded.
