How much would 2,000 A6 400gsm postcards weigh?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A6 paper is 1/64 square meter (to within about 0.2%). So we have

2000*(400g/m^2)*(1/64 m^2) = 12500 g (12.5 kg)

I hope this wasn't a homework problem! ;-)

If my math is right: a postcard measures 0,01 square meters. At 400gsm that equals 4 grams per postcard. Times 2.000 = 8.000 grams, or 8kg (17.6 pounds)
