How much work would be involved in creating a android application for mahalo ?
Would it be utilizing standard rss and xml db feeds ? How would the login interface workout ?
Or the twitter and facebook integration for that matter ?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

All in all, my guess would be that someone who knew Java and Android coding could probably write a pretty decent app in a little over a month.
Any volunteers? :)

Yeah, we've chosen not to upkeep the iphone app. It's a pretty big headache to maintain on top of our existing work, and while I agree it was cool, it fell lower in priority that other features. Also, the whole App Store approval process sucks.
Who knows though? There's a pretty good chance of us bringing back mobile stuff in the future.
Nice response, interesting question.
And on a similar note...What ever happened to the Mahalo iPhone App? I still have it on my phone but it's marginally functional. At one time I think it was targeted for more local answers, as it has a 'questions near you' option. Does anyone else remember it, still have it on your iPhone? Would you use it? What about an iPad app??
