Haiti is apparently getting on with the gnarly business of rebuilding - and rebuilding lives.
On February 17, when I last posted an update, the total humanitarian assistance in the relief and rebuilding efforts was just hitting $2 billion (US$). As of today - 2 months later - the total is $2.8 billion.
The United States has provided $1.023 billion (36.6%) of that total - just a couple of million more than private individuals/companies. Red Cross/Red Crescent/Magen David Adom has allocated $86.5 million.
