Actually, oddly, one box and i bought it myself. Usually everyone gives me candy or cookies or sweet stuff in general as it is not a little known fact I love ..sweets, and their cheap around now. Maybe they all assume I don't want them as i'm trying to loss the pregnancy weight.. but I'm not dieting I'm exercising. Dieting never made a difference for me.

I received my one 2-lb box of See's Candy. Yum! I usually then put it in a closet so that it isn't seen and snacked on every time I or my husband walk into the kitchen. By doing this, the candy lasts longer and it doesn't go directly to my waistline. My husband never used to buy me candy but I really missed the little heart boxes filled with candy that my grandfather would get all the girls in the family (my grandmother, my mom, aunt, sister, etc). I would just like to keep that tradition going now that I have a daughter, but of course - moderation is the key. I can have it in the house and not eat it fortunately.

Nothing. At least not yet. lol First of all, I don't have a sweetheart this Valentine. Then the Valentine coincides with Chinese New Year so my family is busy preparing for the events and out visiting relatives who also focus on celebrating the Lunar New Year. Another reason is I'm sick, so I don't go out to meet my friends. I know that in Thursday or Friday, the students at school plan to have their own Valentine celebration. I don't know if they're going to give the teachers chocolate candies or not. So until then, no candies for me, but then I'm too sick to enjoy candies so it don't matter to me.

Since I am currently actively trying to lose weight, my husband and I agreed in advance not to present each other with Valentine’s goodies this year. However, our two children received a small red heart each with Hershey’s kisses inside and I have to admit that we both snuck in a few pieces each. My younger child, on the other hand, was the winner of the candy lottery this year, as it turned out. He came home with a large, white paper lunch bag filled to the top with Valentine’s cards and candies from his classroom. My older son, who is in Middle School, no longer received any candies from his classmates, but his younger brother was generous enough to share with him. Of course, going out for lunch today on Valentine’s Day, we received a number of sweets at the different places we visited. The restaurant we went to gave us free chocolate covered strawberries for desert and when we went to the movie theater afterwards, the lady at the register handed us a number of Hershey’s Kisses to sweeten up our evening. Overall, Valentine’s Day turned into a fun day that our whole family enjoyed and the few candies along the way just enhanced our moods and allowed us to sweeten up our ventures as well.

I'm usually the one giving candy and other treats rather than receiving them, since I so often make homemade fudge, truffles, cookies, etc., on special occasions.

However, this year my husband surprised me with 4 big chunks of fudge from our favorite fudge-maker. Two of them are the sugar cookie flavor I adore, one is the orange and chocolate swirl I like very much, and the last one is a chocolate and vanilla cheesecake flavor that I had not tried before. That cheesecake one came with the most adorable little heart-shaped sprinkles on top.

Oh, the yum-yum-yumminess! :) I think it adds up to over a pound of fudge. I may have to start passing out bite-sized bits of it to the neighbors or something... Ha!

However, that's nothing compared to the world's largest Gummy Bear, weighing in at 5 pounds:
