The Dell mini keyboard is 12" long and a regular Dell keyboard is 17.5" long. There is a 5.5" difference in the size, which can become a big deal depending on the size of your hands and fingers.
It would need to be up to the person using it to decide if it was too small. For me, I am a petite woman with small hands and fingers so the mini keyboard may not affect me. But if you are a man with large hands and fingers, the smallness of the keyboard may affect your typing.
If you are typing on a mini keyboard all the time, it may not be an ideal situation, but if you would use it sparingly, you might be able to get away with it. But again, it would need to be up to the user to decide if it was too small. Small is a relative term when it comes to a keyboard.
