One, large hard-boiled egg will provide you with 5.5 to 6 grams of protein which is 11 percent of the recommended daily value of protein for an adult.

In a large egg the white has more protein than the yolk. The egg white has about 3.5g protein, the yolk is about 2 to 2.7 grams of protein. The sources provide more information.

In total, the average has 6 - 6.5 grams of protein.....the white is aabout 3.6 grams leaving the rest coming from the yolk.

Roughly six grams, and it's mostly in the yolk. I eat a lot of eggs for my metabolic disorder, so this is something I memorized long ago.

The yolk also has vitamins and fats that are optimized for absorption (if it's a free-range chicken egg). Those vitamins are not available in such a form, where factors needed for absorption are connected to the vitamin, in many other sources, so eat your yolks!
