How Much Money from Sean Hannity Freedom Concerts goes to Charity?
The proceeds are advertised as going to charity, but I am hearing reports as little as only 4% is finding it's way to charity?

This is really interesting, I never heard of Hannity's bad press on this issue. I listen to his show only for a few minutes every once in a while if I get out of work late.
It looks like the charity takes in a ton of money and does give some to charity, but a small chunk. I have attached an article that sounds a little jaded againsta Hannity but it does sound like they've done their homework.
And in Hannity's defense the charity has gotten better every year with the contribution percentages. 2006 they contributed 3% to charity; 2007 they more than doubled that to 7%; and then last year the made another improvement to contribut 12%. The standard the article states for most reputable charities is 75% goes to charity. So Hannity has a LONG way to go.
This data comes directly from the tax returns filed by the charity so unless the author is just making them up, Hannity definately has some work to do.
It sounds like Hannity is partaking in the same kind of liberal (pardon the pun) spending that he rails against on his show everyday when it comes to the goverment. He and his family are taking private planes, and luxery accomodations at the expense of the charity. Sounds like our senators!
I do hate that the author is railing Hannity for his meager contribution when last year, whether he was wasteful with the proceeds or not, he contributed over a MILLION DOLLARS to wounded vets and scholorships for kids who have lost a parent to war. I would ask the author - What have you done in comparison? Have you raised any money for vets? As much as Hannity?
Not just the liberals that Hannity attacks everyday are putting out this news. Even conservatives are starting to ask some questions. It sounds like Hannity needs to sit down and do some work on his budget for his charity and its expenses.
Good question Jeff - good heads up on this issue.
