how much is a human skull valued at from 1864?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A lot depends on what makes a skull valuable. Age is one thing, provenance (where it came from, history, who it belonged to) is another. In general human skulls can sell for $500 to $3000 depending on condition. One exception is the upcoming auction of a skull used as a ballot box by Yale's Skull and Bones secret society. That one's expected to bring around $15,000. Another exception is damien hirst's 'For the Love of God' he bought an old skull, covered it in diamonds and tried to sell it for $100 million.
