How much information and what kind do you think the "black box" in your vehicle holds?

Its is very high tech.
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Well, it's definitely gotta be a lot. If you think about it it has to store data for as long as you own it. And it records new data every time you drive your vehicle. It might store information such as speed, location (coordinates), the amount of gas in the fuel tank, and probably even the charge remaining in the car's battery. All of these things aid in accident reconstruction because they tell exactly what you were doing when you were in a collision.

I only holds 9 pages of date and update data every 5 second you are driving. It used to hold 6 pages every 15 seconds but the first device had to be update because of cell phone interference with it.
