How much horsepower can you add to a 2010 Camaro SS by installing a turbo?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

With the 2010 Camaro SS Turbo LS7-Powered 800 HP Intercooled Twin Turbo Package offered by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering

By way of removing the car´s stock 426 horsepower, 6.2 liter LS 3.8 engine and filling the hole with a Corvette Z06 sourced, 7.0 liter LS7. Now, the LS7 already produces 505-horsepower, which would do the Camaro just fine, but Lingenfelter went a little bit far by taking the aluminum-blocked LS7 and slapping a pair of Garrett oil lubricated and liquid cooled ball bearing snails onto it.

Their plan is to release five distinct power packages ranging from a supercharged 550-horsepower model all the way up to a monster 800-horsepower, turbocharged, LS7 swapped version.

These are the five different Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro Engine Packages:

* 550 BHP / 550 lbs-ft of torque
* 570 BHP / 570 lbs-ft of torque
* 650 BHP / 600 lbs-ft of torque
* 750 BHP / 685 lbs-ft of torque
* 800 BHP / 800 lbs-ft of torque

As with all vehicles this is a tricky question.
Depending on the Size of turbo you use and Boost you plan on running you will see varied results. With a typical install of a GT35 turbo system running low boost you can see an upgrade of around 100-120hp. The simple answer to this question would be "as much as the block can hold before bursting".
Check out Hennessey Performance Cars, they have mild to wild new camaro's already in production.

Also check out STS Turbo's, they specialize in rear mounted turbo systems for different makes and models. They also sell do it yourself kits through their site.
