how much frosting do i need to frost 140 cup cakes?
I am making a cup cake tower for my daughter's wedding in June. I need to frost 140 cup cakes with butter cream icing but I don't know how much to make.

It really depends on what recipe you are using for the buttercream frosting and how much you need for the decoration of the tower parts. You can usually freeze left over frosting so if you are not certain I would definitely make more than estimated and freeze for later use. Or you could make a batch and test to see how much it takes to do a dozen or so to get an estimate.

Hi there! I'm the owner of the Blog mentioned above (thanks for the shout out maggieray!) and I would say for 140 cupcakes, you'd want to make 3-4x the amount of frosting this recipe provides. I think we had frosting left over once all the cupcakes were frosted, but not much.
