how much faster is the iphones 2x speed for audiobooks and podcasts?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Shocker I know. But it is actually twice as fast. For example: a 1 hour podcast or book would only take you 30 minutes to get through while using the 2x playback feature.

I just ran a test. And your right it was not 200%.

I started a podcast on 2x playback, then also ran the stopwatch on the iPhone. I let the stop go for 10 minutes and then double clicked the Home button so I could pause the iPod app. Then opened the iPod app to see how much time had elapsed.

10 minutes in real time = 15 minutes of elapsed 2x podcast time
