How much does the posted date for the Mahalo Tasks matter?
I'm apprehensive to claim a task until this is all clear to me. Any clarification or additional info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yes, you get the full 72 hours to complete the task... if you see you are getting close to the deadline and you want to make sure the task has not expired before you submit it, open a new window, go to that task and see if it is open or not... if it is open, claim it again, then go to the other window you had your information in and then submit it... It also helps to do the task in a text document then paste it in after checking to make sure you still have the task.
And here is something I learned by accident, but comes in very handy sometimes, especially for lower belt levels. Tasks are checked in the order they were created, not in the order completed tasks are submitted. So what? How does that help you?
Well, when I am doing a lot of tasks and end up having to wait for staff or QC team to get to them, I claim older tasks and do them. And I always try to do my older tasks first if I have time and think I will be waiting.
Why does that make a difference? If there are 100 tasks to be checked and you do two of them... one that was brand new and one that was 4 days old, the 4 day old task will be checked much sooner than the new one, even if you submit it first. When it is approved, you can go get a new task. The new task will be there till almost all 100 have been checked.. whenever they finally get that far in the list.
So, by doing the older tasks, you can be moving along and getting more done instead of having to wait.
Just a little tip to help you get more done in less time! =)
It may change, but that is how it has been working for me. It was very helpful when I was a green belt and lower.
doing so many tasks i've lost count XD

M$this happened to me 5 days ago when i claimed a task and give 72 hours by site which provide M7$ if accepted and M25$ if it selected best .
Unfortunately i realized my time running out just before an hour . i finished the 1/3 my self and copied and pasted 2/3rds so as to finish my task and submitted only to realize that my task is expired .
As i want to submit my task anyhow i reclaimed the task . this time for only M3.5$ only . i think mahalo reduces price as u go on reclaiming the task it seems .
Then i submitted my task , after few hours i got mail from mahalo team saying my most of my task is copied and pasted (ofcourse it is , was in hurry to finish the task ) they rejected my task.
though felt little bad . but , i learned my lesson .
1. If u r claiming a task be sure u know at least some thing about the subject.
2. If u claimed a task do research at least for 2 days and write down all that u read in ur OWN words keep a day for it,
3.If u r busy ,try not to waste your energy putting up something that isnt up to your caliber . NO HURRY .u better use that little time answering some of the questions rather claiming a task.
