How much does motorcycle insurance typically cost?

Where can I compare the costs of motorcycle insurance? Is motorcycle insurance less costly than auto insurance?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Motorcycle insurance varies from state to state, with each place setting at least the minimum premiums, with the option to provide for more extended cover but it must be pointed out that due to a much risk factor involved in driving motorcycles, firms involved in providing insurance often shun away when it comes to motorcycles.

In terms of the cost of motorcycle insurance, considering all the issues at hand, it can cost you to as low as $50 every month, to as high as $400, thus putting estimates between $150 to 250 per month in insurance costs.

One of the primary considerations of insurance companies with regards to motorcycle insurance involves the age factor of the motorcycle owner, wherein drivers at a much younger age will have a much higher insurance cost, compared to a driver with a much older age.

Accordingly, "there are many insurance companies out there who offer coverage for motorcycles. Your best option will probably be with a national insurance company such as Geico, American Modern Insurance Group, Nationwide, Esurance, State Farm, Allstate, and Progressive Auto Insurance. You can get quotes from each company and decide which has the best policy for you."
